JUST this week I lost my hero, my dad, no prizes for guessing what of, of course quickly growing aggressive cancer, he was a oyal marine and operated the landing crafts getting all that junk onto the island, I want to scream and shout, how dare our country treat it's people in such a way,

The truth is no one really knew the effects, however our government allowed to put it's people knowing, we'll that's negligence surely,I'm aware of some official papers of the time deliberately, gave different squads or regiments different care, why???? Just to see what happens, and we consider ourselves in this country to be fair truthful and honest,  the powers that be know only too well what they did and hide behind the facade that as a national we ate honest with integrity,  English through and through but I know on my heart how that's so very opposite, like most people involved I would like them to be British, honorable, truthful and appologise, step up and take responsibility, I have lost my love for my country now

Daughter of a hero

My dad recently passed 2 years ago he has numerous illnessess and the main one was PARKINSONS DEASES for 15 years he was in the Royal Engineers Army and Proud .

My dad told stories of men being carried away on the island and not returning , cats being born wirh 5 claws , clearing birds stund by the bombs , etc etc .

Totally agree with all the contents below and my dad would want justice to be done for all living veterains of the Nuclear Testing and the goverment to stand up and do the honorable duty to admit to these terrible fatal illnesses and deases with which the vertains and their families have had to live their lives with also the devistation it has brought and the sad loss of many young familes and those who are living with children who have had devasting condition.

One quote always ring in my head my dad once stated they where told the only lucky men who would come out of the Nuclear Testing with out terrible concequences would be those who chose to not have families .

As if it was not to be contacting illnesses themselves  it would be in their childrens children ,as radiation will carry on through out many generation .

Totally agree no one really does no the effects this is why the goverment does not know what it is dealing with .

Which brings us back the the answer this is why they where put on island as guinepigs .
